Georgia is not far from Italy. In terms of tourism you could define a “medium-haul” destination such as Israel, Egypt, Turkey etc.

By plane, depending on the connection is about 3 and a half hours/4 hours of flight, if you wanted to go by car well…it’s a little more complicated.
Anyway, from Milan to Batumi ( on the Black Sea coast) there are exactly 4,100 kilometers.

The downside is that from Italy there are few direct flights (Alitalia sometimes).
The best combinations currently include a stopover in Istanbul (Pegasus, Turkish) but Air Baltic, Austrian and Lufthansa also fly to Tbilisi. Not to mention the new voli
