The archipelago of the Comoros Islands is located in the Indian Ocean, between Mozambique and the island of Madagascar. The main islands are four, and even if they are often still called by the names French, following the proclamation of independence, the government of the Comoros has re-christened with names swahili: Njazidja (Grande Comore), Mwali (Mohéli), Nzwani (Anjouan), and Mahoré (Mayotte).
