Flag of Ethiopia

Ethiopia is a state in the Horn of Africa, between Eritrea, Sudan, South Sudan, Kenya, Somalia and Djibouti. Its surface area is 1, 1 million km2 and its population was 93.8 million in 2012.

Politically, Ethiopia is divided into two self-administered entities (astedaderoch), Addis Ababa and Dire Daoua, and nine states (kililoch) defined along ethnic lines : Afar, Amara(Amhara), Binshangul Gumuz, Gambela Hizboch (Gambela peoples), Hareri Hizb (Harari people), Oromiya (Oromia), sumale (Somalia), Tigray, Ye Debub biheroch bihereseboch na hizboch (southern nations).
