Flag of Gabon

Gabon is a country in Equatorial Africa, bordering the Atlantic Ocean and bordering Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon and the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville).

With a surface area of 267,667 km2, largely covered by forests, Gabon’s population was 1.6 million. Capital: Libreville (578 000 inhabitants), on the Right Bank of the Gabon River estuary, founded in 1849. Another important city is Port-Gentil (110 000 inhabitants).
