Portland Head Light, a very nice trip if you are traveling on the coast of New England near Portland. Head Light was built in 1787 and is located in Fort Wiliams Park. One has a wonderful view of the sea as well as offshore islands of the rocky coastal landscape. Next to the lighthouse there is a Museum where the history is described. In the surrounding Park you can have a picnic and barbecue. On weekends, many families spend their free time here with games and swimming.
