Tallinn is the capital of the Republic of Estonia. It is located in the Gulf of Finland. It has a medieval charm because it preserves its architecture as if time had not passed. Its history goes back to the Vikings, the first settlers of this place who became interested in its position in the Baltic Sea.

Its Old Town is declared a World Cultural Heritage site. There is a mixture of styles, medieval, gothic, and baroque, which can be seen through moments such as the Alexander Nevski cathedral of the XIII century, the castle Toompea, the Tower Pikk Hernan, the Kadriorg palace (neoclassical style built by Peter the Great in honour of his wife Catherine), the towers Kiek in de Kök, or its walls flanked by 26 towers.

After the first inhabitants, the Vikings, arrived to these lands Germans, Swedes, Russians or Finns, settlers who temporarily occupied this territory.
