Where is Submarine Force Library & Museum?

The Submarine force Library and Museum in Groton is located on the Thames next to Naval Submarine Base New London. It is a museum of the Naval History & Heritage Command of the US Navy. Admission to the Museum is free.

Inside, some models of submarines as well as various torpedoes and guided weapons are exhibited. The technique and tactics of the submarines are explained. In front of the Museum you will find the micro-submarines USS X-1 from 1955, and HA-8. You can find the tower of the USS George Washington, as well as the Test submarine NR-1. Here, the hunting submarine the USS Nautilus is a Museum ship.
