We did not know what to expect when we decided to visit spontaneously, and were because we did not have much time, we decided to stay at the house & conservatory and the gardens for the moment did not give up. I’m not sure what we missed in the gardens, but we were more than impressed by what we found in the greenhouses. It was like jumping into all different habitats, countries and climates. What a great Surprise! Who knew we could spend an hour by car to Northampton experiencing the tropics.

So beautifully Plant life – from the leaves to the flower buds to the flowers in the vines to the different types of Bark. I kept myself so loud that I wished myself one thing about botany as I’m sure I was all just to a very superficial appreciation.

A real gem in the Berkshires area. Will definitely be back and explore the gardens again.

We were also lucky, because we were there in time and had the Hotel almost to ourselves. I’m sure that in full time it’s a little harder to take your time, really immerse yourself as we could.
