Where is Saratoga Spa State Park?

The Saratoga Spa State Park, characterized by its classical architecture and listed as a National Historic Landmark, is characterized by its diverse cultural, aesthetic and recreational resources. In addition to the nationally known Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Spa Little Theatre, the National Museum of Dance, the Saratoga Automobile Museum, the Gideon Putnam Resort and the Roosevelt Baths and Spa, the Park offers a variety of traditional recreation opportunities.

The Peerless Pool Complex consists of a main pool with zero depth entry, a separate slide pool with a 19-inch double slide and a children’s paddling pool with a mushroom fountain. The historic Victoria Pool is a small Pool surrounded by circular hiking trails. Both pool areas include food and beverage services, showers, changing rooms and toilets. The Saratoga Spa State Park Golf Course offers two beautiful golf courses; an 18-hole championship course and a challenging 9-hole course with Pro Shop and Restaurant.

The gentle terrain offers picnic areas, shady stream trails suitable for nature lovers or walkers, as well as certified running courses for joggers, high school and high school students. Winter activities include cross-country skiing on about 20 km of trails, ice skating and ice hockey. Volunteers are working with Park to improve the historic “valley of springs” to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the park. To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the preservation of mineral springs, volunteers from the Saratoga Capital District Park Commission have led the Spa Park Centennial project to beautify and restore the Mineral Spring area of the park.

The project includes landscaping, new walkable paths, a staircase and a view of the geyser waterfall, as well as signs. The Mineral Springs Tour is one of the park’s most popular educational programs. This project will create new spaces to better accommodate the tours and provide better information about the exceptional natural features of the springs along the geyser stream. Master plan for Saratoga Spa State Park. The years-long public master planning process for Spa Park ended with a Plan that strengthens the conservation of natural areas while promoting and expanding public use. The undeveloped areas of the 2,200-hectare park are now officially designated as nature reserves that protect habitats and support hiking trails. Plans for the northern area of the park require new uses for vacant buildings. Plans for a new visitor centre at Lincoln Bathhouse are in line with the proposal to rent out office space to generate revenue.
