Of all the places in the Bay of Plenty, Rotorua is probably the most famous and most visited city. The Rotorua, which has a population of just over 50,000, could rightly be called the” Queenstown of the North Island”.
A huge range of activities awaits you, from a myriad of outdoor activities such as mountain Biking, horseback riding, rafting or skydiving to spectacular nature tours and cultural experiences. In addition, the village of Matamata with its infamous Fimset “Hobbiton” is just a stone’s throw away! In this article I would like to introduce you to the eventful adventure stronghold of Rotorua and tell you some of my favorite sights of the city.
