What Country is Resita in?

The district town of Reschitz (a) (Romanian Reşiţa), capital of the district of Karash-Severin, is located at the foot of the southern western Carpathians, on the banks of the Bersau (Bârzava) River, which springs from the nearby Semenic Massif.

On the present territory of the village were united two villages, an original settlement, first mentioned in the 15th century, later (1779) known as Reşiţa Română, and the working colony surrounding the works, called Montan Reschitz (Reşiţa Montană).
