Where is Kokand Located?

Kokand is a city in Uzbekistan. From a historical perspective, Kokand was an important trade, industrial, arts and Crafts Centre, which has not lost its importance even today. Here lived and worked many famous Poets, artists and masters of their time, whose creative Work have contributed to the development of science, culture and art.

Here, the unique architectural objects – the Palace of the former ruler Said Muhammad Khudayarkhan, the Jami mosque, the Medrese (theological College) Norbutaboy and the burial chambers of Dahmai Shokhon and Modarikhon are. There are seven museums in Kokand.

What Country is Kokand in?

The Kokand Museum of local history is one of the oldest museums in Uzbekistan. It was founded in 1925 and the building in which the Museum is located, is the most valuable architectural monument from the middle of the 19th century.
