Where is Halifax Located?

Halifax is the capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. The city is located on the south coast of the Nova Scotia Peninsula on the Atlantic (See map / map on the right).

What Country is Halifax in?

It was founded by the English in 1749. Halifax is officially referred to as Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), in addition to Halifax, it also includes Sackville, Bedford and Dartmouth and today has almost 400,000 inhabitants. This makes it the largest city in the Region in the area east of Quebec and north of Boston. Furthermore, Halifax is an important economic and Cultural Centre for the whole Region, not least because of the International Airport of Halifax (Stanfield Airport).
