Where is Arusha Located?
The city of Arusha is not called for nothing as the Safari capital of Tanzania. From here, most tours start to the Northern national parks such as the Serengeti or Ngorongoro Crater. The Arusha National Park is just outside the city. It may be small in size, but at least it protects Africa’s fifth highest mountain, Mount Meru. Less frequently visited, however, it offers an almost intact ecosystem of mountain forest, grass-growing hilly landscape and the Momela lakes. The Arusha National Park is the starting point for a Safari in Tanzania.
What Country is Arusha in?
The (usually short) visit to the Safari capital of Tanzania, visitors to the Northern parts of the country come around hardly. The city is not a beauty and not a place where you want to stay longer than necessary.
But if you want to spend a day or two or you have to bridge the time, you are in good hands in Arusha and its infrastructure, which is unique to Tanzania. Nowhere else there are so many recommendable Hotels and Restaurants.
