The amusement park Bay Beach Amusement Park in Wisconsin, which has been in existence for 127 years, is currently renovating the beach environment on Lake Michigan. The first part of the renovation is already under construction: at the end of May 2019, the 30-Meter-high ferris wheel “the Big Wheel” is scheduled to make its first laps.

Since gondola seats are to be used in the individual cabins, the ferris wheel can offer significantly more guests space. Instead of two visitors, several people can now enter a cabin at the same time.

A new area around the ferris wheel is to be created for visitors by 2020. Thus, a nearly 305 Meter long sand carpet should make swimming at the lake possible again. This has been prohibited at the site since 1930.

In addition, the Park would like to erect a pier about 127 meters long, where guests will have the opportunity to fish. Adjacent to the newly created Beach is a Boulevard with seating and viewing possibilities.
