Where is Minya Located?

About 250 kilometers south of Cairo lies Al-Minya, also called El-Minyā. Located on the western shore of the Nile, the rather small-town Flair makes the city appear almost dreamy compared to the centers on the upper reaches of the Nile. Al-Minya is the perfect starting point for excursions to ancient attractions.

In the city center are street trains with Representative buildings. Similar to Cairo, these were built at the beginning of the 20th century according to the European model. The buildings are inspired by Art Deco and neoclassicism or show pseudo-Islamic stylistic elements.
