From Daytona Beach, just 10 miles south across the always scenic a-1-A, you can reach the top preserved lighthouse and Museum at Ponce de Leon Inlet, built in 1835. At 175 feet tall, it is Florida’s tallest, but also most authentic and best-preserved lighthouse, and has been a National Historic Landmark since 1998.

Those who climb the 203 steps will be rewarded with a fantastic view of the charming surroundings, Inlet, coast, bays and beaches. Lighthouse and Museum are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, admission $ 6.95, children up to 11 years $ 1.95.
