Flag of Bahrain
Bahrain is an island state in South-Western Asia, consisting of a main island and several islets located in the second of the southern bays of the interior of the Arabian Gulf, off the coast of Saudi Arabia (to which it connects a bridge) and Qatar.
With an area of 750 km2 and a population of 1.25 million (2012), Bahrain is a constitutional monarchy divided into 5 governorates: Asamah, Janubiyah, Muharraq, Shamaliyah and Wasat, each of which is administered by a designated governor.
