Flag of Togo

Togo is a state of West Africa, bordered by the Gulf of Guinea, between Ghana, West Benin, East and South Burkina Faso. Surface area: 56,785 km2; population: 6 million (2009). The country is a republic; it is divided administratively into five regions (Central, Kara, Maritime, Plateaux and Savanes).
Capital : Lome; the other centres on the coast are : Anécho, Grand-Popo and Porto Seguro; in the interior : Palimé, Atakpamé, Blitta, Sokode, Bassari, Lama-Kara and Sansanné-Mango.
