Jizzax or Jissakh is a city in Uzbekistan and the capital of the province of the same name.

In Jizzax used to be an important junction of the Silk Road. Today the station is located on the line between Samarkand and Tashkent. Today, Jizzax has two universities. In 1916, Jizzax was the center of a resistance against the Russian occupiers, but it was quickly crushed.
