What Continent is Tunisia in?
Is Tunisia part of Asia or Europe?
To give you a location of the country before traveling to Tunisia, know that it is located north of the African continent and east of the Maghreb. At just 160,000 square kilometres, Tunisia is almost twice as small as Italy. It borders Algeria to the west and Libya to the east . The northern part consists of a coastline stretching for 1300 kilometers and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Tunisian landscapes are characterized largely by plains and contrary to what one might think only 15% by desert. Mount ChambAmbi is the highest point in the country, rising to 1544 meters high.
One of the riches of Tunisia lies in its interesting fauna. Among the most typical animals of the country that you will probably have the opportunity to observe are gazelles, hyenas, lynxes, otters, turtles, jackals, mongooses, porcupines, wild boars, foxes, wild cats, scorpions, berber deer, ostriches, mouflon, fennecs, antelopes and the emblematic oryx . Looking up to the sky you will see the flight of an eagle. Also see where you put your feet so as not to step on some desert viper or horned viper. If you witness the return of the fishing boats you will see sole, anchovies, bream, tuna, sardines, mackerel, groupers, moray eels, lobsters, polyps and something more exotic: seahorses. Finally, it is obviously impossible to come to Tunisia without taking a ride on a camel.
