Is Russia part of Asia or Europe?
Russia has an area of about 17 million kilometers. Es is located on the Eurasian continent, mostly in Europe, and is its largest republic. The current Russian Federation is washed in the north by the Barents Sea and the White Sea, in the east by the Pacific Ocean, and in the south by the Black and Caspian Seas.

It is bordered to the southeast by China, to the south by Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan, to the west by Ukraine, Belarus, Latvia, Estonia, Finland and for a small stretch by Norway.
European Russia includes the Lowsarmatic Plain, the largest plain in Europe. To the east of it is the great Ural Range, which vertically occupy virtually all of Russia and mark the natural border with Asia. However, they are not very high, in fact the highest peak does not even reach 1900 meters. Another important and higher altitude chain is the Caucasus range, in the southeast, between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea. It reaches about 5600 m.
Russia, being mostly flat, is rich in many rivers that flow into all its seas. The two most important are the Volga and the Don. The first is the longest European river that originates in the Valda Vald It is connected to various artificial channels and the Don.
In Russia, there is also the largest lake in Europe, Lagoda (in the northeast) and the second European lake, Onega. Also worth mentioning is the vast depression in the southeast, on the Caspian Sea, the Caspian depression.
Given the extension, the Russian climate is very varied: it passes from the Arctic climate in the north, to the continental one in the center; from the Mediterranean climate in the south on the Black Sea, to the desert climate of the Caspian depression.
