Small island in the South Pacific, south of the Marshall Islands, Nauru is located 41 km south of the Equator and almost 4000 km northeast of Sidne. The nearest location to Banaba Island in Kiribati, 306 km to the east. The vegetation concentrata concentrated around Buada Lagoon and the coast. The central plateau reaches 70 m above sea level. As for the fauna, in addition to many species of migratory birds that stop there, there are no native mammals of the place. The vegetation is rich in Pandanus palms , coconuts,red jasmine, Pacific fig and tomanus.
