Flag of Uruguay

Uruguay is a state of South America, bordering the Atlantic Ocean. From an area of 176,220 km2, Uruguay to for boundaries, to the south the rio De La Plata;

to the Southeast, the Atlantic Ocean( 660 km of coasts); to the North, the yaguaron and Cuareim rivers and a conventional river that separates it from Brazil; to the West, the rio Uruguay, which marks the border of Argentina. Uruguay is in a very favourable situation north of the estuary of the Rio De La Plata; the coasts, low and flat, offer excellent maritime stations (rades of Montevideo, Maldonado, Colonia).
