Flag of Ukraine

Ukraine is a state in Eastern Europe, bordering the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov( length of coastline : 2,782 km) and located between Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland in the West, and Russia in the North and East.

Independent from the Soviet Union, of which it was a republic since August 1991, the country is a Republic Divided administratively into 24 provinces (oblasti, singular : oblast’), an autonomous republic (avtonomna respublika) and two municipalities (mista, singular : misto), which satut of oblast.
