Swaziland (eSwatini) is a land-locked kingdom of Southern Africa between South Africa and Mozambique; 17,363 km2 ; 1,133,000 inhabitants. The capital is Mbabane.

It is a country of low hills, whose dominant vegetation, called the Veld, stands out by the almost complete absence of trees. A drought forced the use of food aid in 2004-2005.
