Flag of Burkina Faso

Burkina Faso is a state in West Africa, landlocked between Mali, Niger, Benin, Togo, Ghana and Côte d’ivoire.

With an area of 274,000 km2, Burkina presents itself as a rolling plateau, higher in the south than in the North (highest point, the Tena Kourou, 749 m). The country is covered by the upper reaches of the Black Volta (or Mouhoun), the red Volta and the White Volta.
