Botswana is a landlocked state in southern Africa. It is surrounded by Namibia, Zimbabwe and South Africa. Capital : Gaborone (208,500 inhabitants);

other important localities : Francistown (90,000 inhabitants), Molepolole (63,500), Selebi-Phikwe (54,000), Maune (50,000). Total Population: 2 million (July 2012 estimate). Area : 581,730 km2.
Administratively, Botswana is divided into 9 districts and 5 Urban Councils.
