Where is Lion Country Safari Located
In 1967, Lion Country Safari, located in Loxahatchee near Wellington, opened its doors and is now one of the most popular destinations in South Florida. Founded by English and South African businessmen, Lion Country Safari was the first animal park in the United States to allow visitors to drive close to almost free living animals on an eight-kilometre route, following the “Drive through Safari Park” principle. Today, the Safari Park is home to more than 1,000 animals.
