This is one of the best paths to take the dogs since there are places you can get into the water. The hiking trail around the lake takes about an hour and is an easy hike with wide, level trails. There are several attractions around this Trail such as an old still, a chapel and an Old Log Cabin. There is a Covered Bridge and you can see turtles, ducks and other wild animals from the bridge, along with beautiful views of the lake. There are several other trails so that you can hike most of a day. There is a large gazebo with toilets and picnic tables. It is a great place for a great event. There are also tables and benches outside the pavilion, with views of the lake. here it is slightly cooler than in the valley due to the altitude and there is complete shade from the treetops.
