Where is Newfoundland and Labrador Located?
The province of Newfoundland is Canada’s easternmost province. Although Newfoundland and Labrador are one and the same province, both regions are geographically very different. Newfoundland is the island part of the province, while Labrador is the larger, northern mainland part. The majority of the population lives in the more accessible Newfoundland.
St. John’s is the capital of the province with almost 100,000 inhabitants. The image of Newfoundland is very much shaped by the sea. It is a rugged country with stunning coastal landscapes and the last great wilderness areas on Earth.
The province is also home to several national parks, many nature reserves, and breathtaking Botanical gardens. A perfect place to enjoy Outdoor adventures such as climbing, kayaking and hiking in summer or skiing and snowboarding in Winter.
