Flag of Peru

Peru is a state of South America, on both sides of the Andean Cordillera. It is bordered to the North by Ecuador and Colombia, to the East by Brazil, to the Southeast by Bolivia, and to the South by Chile.

The area of 1,285,220 km2 (almost 1/10th of South America) and the population of 29,55 million inhabitants (2009).
