The islands of Trinidad and Tobago( Trinidad and Tobago) are located between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Venezuela, at the mouth of the Orinoco river.

Trinidad (the island of Trinidad is by far the largest, with 4751 km2; Tobago has an area of only 317 km2. These two islands were under the british crown until independence in 1962. The state they have since formed is a parliamentary democracy.
