Sweden is a Northern European state, occupying the entire eastern slope of Scandinavia. Sweden, with an area of 449.964 km2, borders western Norway and North-Eastern Finland and is bounded by the Gulf of Bothnia, the Baltic Sea and the Kattegat.

A bridge connects it to Denmark. It’s a constitutional monarchy. Administratively, it is divided into 21 lan (provinces). Capital : Stockholm. Other major cities : Malmö and Gothenburg. Total Population : 9 million inhabitants (2009).
