The city of New Braunfels is also a founding of the Mainz aristocratic Association, which intended to create a German principality in Texas. Founder here was Carl Prinz to Solms-Braunfels, called “Texas-Carl”. Every year in November, the city celebrates the “Sausage Festival”.
