The highlight to be experienced is the ride across the Park over Trail Ridge Road with some breathtaking views. Experienced motorists should drive on the unpaved but very rewarding Old Fall River Road, which can only be used as a one-way road uphill. It branches off from the US 34 and flows back into it.
The Trail Ridge Road rises to 3,713 metres and runs for more than 15 km beyond the tree line.
An ideal starting point for hikes is the Bear Lake, which is located in the middle of the Park (here in summer also Shuttle Bus), which is one of the most visited attractions of the park.
