The Texas city of Dallas has several buildings by international architects. In addition to Grandma’s Wyly Theater and Forster’s Winspear Operahouse, I. M. Pei and Steven Holl have immortalized themselves here. Now a building by Thom Mayne from the Californian studio Morphosis has been added. It is the Perot Museum of Nature & Science, the architect’s first museum building ever. Visitors should be able to experience Natural History up close. The Museum, which measures almost 17,000 m2 and costs around $ 200 million, takes its name from the main sponsors, the Perot family.
