Modesto is located in the central part of the Central Valley. Around the city on fertile Land, inconsequential wines as well as nuts and almonds are grown. Founded in 1870, the city is notorious for its air quality, it is supposed to be even worse than in Los Angeles; it also has, in relation to the inhabitants, the most stunned cars in the USA.
