Where is Hagley Museum?

Three large estates belonging to the well-known DuPont Industrial family can be visited in and around Wilmington, Delaware. This includes the family’s headquarters, Hagley. This is where the rise of the DuPonts to one of the most successful families in the USA began and where their first production facilities were located.

In the middle of the beautiful Brandywine Valley, the French Immigrant Eleuthere Irenee du Pont settled in 1801 to found a black powder factory. What a global corporate empire this has become, the visitor of Hagley first learns in the Museum, which is set up in an old cotton mill. The company history of the DuPonts is shown on 3 floors.
