Where is Flores Sea?

The north coast of the island borders the Floressee. In contrast to the Pacific Ocean on the south coast, the Floressee is usually quiet and is therefore particularly suitable for swimming in the sea.

Underwater, the Floressee is characterized by many different fish species. Over 1,400 different species can be observed. Including the blacktip reef shark. Throughout the year there are also other sea creatures such as Baracudas, spiny mackerel or tuna. We see turtles more often on the Slopes in the coral gardens.

In addition to the biodiversity, the geography of the Floressee is also interesting for divers. Some of the crevasses created during the last earthquake are submersible and a unique experience. Here it can be observed how nature recovers the disaster areas.

In many shallower places, the beauty of the underwater world can also be experienced while snorkeling.
