Dinosaur National Monument offers a variety of attractions and recreational opportunities. If you are interested in the science, the history or the landscape of the dinosaurs, you will find it here. Petroglyphs show ancient stories and their culture, created by the Fremont Indians, Ute and Shoshones who lived in this area, later settlers also found a home here.

The Dinosaur Monument is located in the southeastern foothills of the Uinta Mountains – a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains. The National Monument has an area of approximately 832.4 km2. The eastern part of the Park is located in the state of Colorado. The Harpers Corner Road offers breathtaking views along the deep gorges with the Green River and Yampa River. In the state of Utah lies the western area of Dino park with the world-famous Dinosaur Quarry.

Dinosaur fossils can only be seen on the Utah side of the park. About 1,500 dinosaur fossils can be found in the rock wall at Dinosaur Quarry Exhibit Hall. Among them are dinosaurs such as Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, Camarasaurus, Diplodicus and Stegosaurus. At one point you can touch a more than 149,000,000 year old dinosaur fossil. The Quarry Visitor Center also offers an exhibition and informative films about the park.
In summer, shuttle buses run from the Visitor Center quarry to the exhibit Hall quarry.
