Where is Carlsbad Caverns Natıonal Park?
Carlsbad Caverns National Park is located in southern New Mexico and almost on the border with Texas. On the surface, the landscape is barren and inconspicuous, and nothing indicates that there are a total of 83 caves deep in the rocks, including one of the world’s largest underground spaces and also the deepest cave known in the USA.
This day has already started really funny with a toboggan ride on the white gypsum dunes in the White Sands National Monument. From there we drove via the idyllic Cloudcroft on Highway 82 to Artesia and then on to Carlsbad. Carlsbad delights the traveler with particularly high and inappropriate hotel prices. We have therefore opted for a Motel 6 conveniently located at the southern exit of the village, which is still freshly renovated.
