Bath is located about 185 kilometres (115 mi) west of London. Its proximity has made it a popular getaway destination for Londoners, and transport options for travelling to Bath from London are numerous.

By road, the distance of the M4 motorway between the two cities takes about two and a half hours, depending, of course, on the traffic conditions.
