Flag of Chad

Chad is a state in Africa, located south of the Sahara and enclosed between Niger, Libya, the Central African Republic, Sudan, Cameroon and Nigeria.

With an area of 1.284 million km2, the country occupies a vast semi-desert depression rising gently eastward towards the Ennedi massif, and northward, where the Tibesti massif is located, which culminates at 3415 m (Emi Koussi). To the South is the Lake Chad Basin, crossed by the River Chari.
