Where is Zion National Park?

Brief information the Park protects unique geological formations as well as a rich wildlife. The Park is also home to the largest arch in the United States. The Park is mountainous: it stretches between 1,128 and 2,660 metres in height.
Visitors to The Park is mainly visited in the summer.

What city is Zion?
Arrival, The UT 9 passes through the southern part of the Park. Starting points are Hurricane to the West and Mount Carmel Junction (direction Bryce) to the East.
The western part of the park is reached by two roads, the Western one from the I 15 (Exit #40), the southern one at Virgin from the UT 9 (partially closed in Winter).
There are no public transport links to the Park.
In the Park there is a Shuttle Tram to the upper Zion Canyon. This Service also allows travellers with campers to visit this area.
Admission Fee
Facilities visitor centres, campsites and food shopping are available. Zion Lodge offers accommodation.
The Zion Valley, a narrow gorge run by a stream, is the main attraction of interest. A well-developed hiking trail leads into the gorge, in its upper, narrower part you have to wade through the stream.
The UT 9 leads to numerous viewpoints. In the western part there is the hard-to-reach Kaleb Arch, the largest stone arch in the USA.
In the Park there are numerous sports facilities: hiking, climbing, canoeing, swimming, horse riding and much more
Note after rains, the water in Zion Canyon can increase rapidly and strongly. The passage of the stream can then become perilous.
In the course of the UT 9 there is a narrow, unversichtlichlciher 1.5 km long Tunnel. Drivers of campers with little driving experience should avoid this Tunnel as far as possible.
