Where is The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden?

Just a few minutes ‘ drive from downtown Dallas is White Rock Lake – one of the most popular lakes in the area. Hiking trails, water sports and picnic Meadows lure you into nature. On the southeast shore of White Rock Lake is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. This beautiful botanical garden inspires large and small visitors.

A highlight worth seeing is the “Rory Meyers Childrens’s Adventure Garden”, in which there is much to discover, especially for the Little Visitors. The more than three-hectare Adventure Garden houses various areas that playfully bring nature and science closer to children and anyone who enjoys experiencing the world through children’s eyes. In carefully thought-out facilities and exhibitions, children are shown how plants grow, what the inside of a tree looks like, how to gain energy from nature and much, much more.

The youngest visitors will find a garden in the “first Adventure” area where they can climb around on an oversized Ant, sit on oversized mushrooms, or have fun in the maze and conquer the tree house.
