Where is Texas Capitol?

Texans must have internalized the size of their state so that they think in completely different dimensions and tend to superlatives.
This led, among other things, to the fact that they built their Capitol in Austin higher than the Capitol in Washington, D.C.
After a long struggle over which material to build the Capitol and where the building material should come from, the governor of Texas rejected all proposals and ultimately decided on the pink Texas granite.
Construction finally began in 1882.

Construction time: almost 6 years. Visitors can watch how politics is done while the legislative power is in session.
