Where is Tetouan Located?

The city of Tétouan (Arabic: Titwan – Spanish: Tetuán) is located in the North of Morocco and the Mediterranean coast of the country lies close to. Tétouan is a large city and has about 350,000 inhabitants. Since 1999, it has been the summer residence of King Mohammed VI (Mohammed Ben Al-Hassan) because of its temperate climate. The Berber Name of the city literally means “eyes”. She also has the poetic nickname “the White Dove” (French: La Colombe blanche). The city is also home to a number of Spanish protectorate Estates. Tètouan is located about 60 km east of the city of Tanger and 40 km south of the Spanish Exclave Ceuta, which is located on the road of Gibraltar.
