Where is Tel Aviv Located?

Tel Aviv is the second largest metropolis in Israel and has over 420,000 inhabitants, the entire region around the Mediterranean city about 3.8 million inhabitants. Located directly on the Mediterranean Sea, it offers tourists and locals the Mediterranean climate and Flair, while Tel Aviv stands for the secular part of the Jewish state of Israel. The people are cosmopolitan and especially the gastronomy with international influences. This is not surprising, because on the one hand Israel’s Jewish population consists of different parts of the world, especially from Eastern Europe and the Iberian Peninsula, not to forget the Jews from Middle Eastern countries such as Iran and from Africa, for example Ethiopia.

What Country is Tel Aviv in?

Entering Israel is relatively straightforward, you only need a passport that must be valid for at least six months (beyond the travel date). If you have entry stamps from Arab countries in your passport, you have to prepare for longer security checks and questions about your travels. You only need a visa if you want to stay in Israel for more than three months. You land at Ben Gurion Airport, which is just 20 kilometers from Tel Aviv. Many direct flights to Israel start from Germany, which will take you to your destination in just under four hours. Cheap flights to Tel Aviv can be found in my flight search.
