Where is Sullana Located?

The city of Sullana is located in the northwest of the country, on the Left Bank of the Rio Chira. It is a provincial centre with about 175,000 inhabitants and is located about 40 km north of the regional capital of Piura. The neighbouring provinces can be reached from Sullana via a relatively well developed road network.

On the way through the Chira valley, visitors will find large-scale plantations on which Cotton and rice are grown. Sullana has been dominated by agriculture since its establishment in 1783.
